Department of Geodesy Cartography, Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment
Department of Geodesy-and Catorgraphy, was established by Decision No.2154/QĐ-NNH, on 10/10/2013 by the Rector of Hanoi Agricultural University (now is Vietnam National University of Agriculture). It was originally separated from the Department of Geodesy – Mapping and Geographic Information,Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment
2. Mandate
Educational activities: Undergraduate and postgraduate training in Major of Land Management, Soil Science, Water resource engineering.
Scientific researches and technology transfer: To carry out research projects in all level; Participating in writing bidding, proposing transfer projects in production practices in variety of topics: Mapping and Measuring; Research on application of GPS, Remote sensing technology in land and natural resources management; Study of Urbanization and land use change; Land use planning, construction of new rural areas and other relevant interdisciplinary research directions.

- GeoInformatic in natural resources management;
- Research on application of satellite image and GPS technology in mapping;
- Application of remote sensing and GPS technology in land management, natural resources management. Application of geodesic methodology, GPS to construct geodetic networks in mapping;
- Research on land use changes in urbanization;
- Research on the impact of agricultural land conversion to non-agricultural land in land management;
- Other relevant interdisciplinary directions in the field of natural resources and environment.
