Department history
The department of chemistry was established in 1956 with scientific staffs teaching chemistry modules for students of agriculture - forestry - fishery sector, participating in scientific research to implement projects at all levels. There are 12 lecturers and 3 technicians in the Department with 1 associate professor, 5 PhD and 7 Ms. The Department has much contributed to the development of the Faculty and the University.

Overall objectives
- Improve the organization and staff of highly qualified personnel
- Continuing and successfully completing the task of teaching subjects for classes and faculties assigned by the academy and the faculty.
- Promote scientific research in basic research and application in the fields of environment, agriculture - forestry - fishery to meet practical needs
Specific objectives
- Personnel development: 1-2 more PhDs by 2025
- Guide students to do graduation thesis, guide graduate students and postgraduate students specializing in environment, food technology, soil science, plant protection ...
- Regularly renovating and updating the content of lectures and curriculum
- Research and technology transfer: Every year, 8-10 scientific articles are published in national and international scientific journals.
- Facilities: Enhancing equipment for training and research in the direction of modernization
- Domestic and foreign cooperation: Applied research cooperation with domestic and international organizations
