Within the partnership building activity for the VIBE 2018.05 project between Irish and Vietnamese universities, Land Mangement department and Ryan Institute of National University of Ireland Galway (NUI Galway) jointly organized a workshop entitled “Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security”. The workshop happened at 9:00-12:00 at Vietnam National University of Agriculture aiming to introduce training and research programs between two universities and discuss collaboration opportunities between the two universities.

The workshop was attended by faculty leaders of Land Management, Accounting and Business Management, Agronomy together with faculties’ lecturers and students. The NUI Galway delegates attended at the workshop including Prof. Charles Spillane (Director of Ryan Institute), Dr. Peter McKeown and Dr. Galina Brychkova.

The NUI Galway delegates introduced two MSc programs run by Ryan Institute, research strengths about Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security and opportunities for VNUA lecturers and students to pursue thei higher education.

 

Faculty leaders of Accounting and Business Management and Agronomy introduced their advanced undergraduate training programs, their developments and achievements.

At the workshop, lecturers and students had the chance to discuss about scholarship opportunities fron the Irish government for VNUA students to pursue their post graduate studies at NUI Galway. Students that meet requirements can also join exchange activities within the VIBE 2018.05 project.

The workshop finished at 12:00 on the same day.
