Signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam National University and Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University

One of the most important strategy of Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment is enhancing international cooperation in fields of Land Management, Soil Science, Water resources, Environmental Science… in order to support Agriculture and Rural development, Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam. Recent years, our faculty has promoted collaboration in research with the Departments of Science and Technology of several provinces in Vietnam, many research institutes and localities as well as some universities in other countries in the region. It results in the development of cooperation and promoting products in education, science and technology of Vietnam National University of Agriculture and the Faculty of Natural resources and Environment.

On 28-29/11/2018, according to the invitation of the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, Thailand, the Faculty’s delegation including: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Trong Phuong - Vice dean of faculty and Dr. Ngo Thanh Son - Lecturer of department of water resources has come to have a meeting with Dr. Nikhom Laemsak - Dean, Dr. Surin Onprom - Vice Dean in charge of international cooperation of Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Pasuta - in charge of Science and Technology as well as lecturers and researcher of the Faculty.

In the meeting, Assoc. Tran Trong Phuong had a presentation to introduce about the Faculty's achievements and activities, main research topics; training disciplines (undergraduate and postgraduate); the results in training, research, international cooperation as well as the technology transfer to localities in fields of Land Management, Soil Science, Environment and Water Resources. Leaders of the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University showed positive evaluations on the achievements that the Faculty of Natural resources and Environment has achieved during all this time.

Subsequently, Dr. Surin Onprom introduced the scale of the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University and its departments; Centers for analytics and some typical disciplines related to Mapping, Remote sensing, GIS, Land and Water resource management... Dr. Nikhom Laemsak shared his desire to cooperate with the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment - VNUA in terms of research and exchange lecturers and students between the two faculties. The meeting took place in an intimate and effective atmosphere and shared strategy for future cooperation.
